Manufacturing Process Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at AirBorn Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and be able to develop and implement new manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design engineering to develop new products and manufacturing processes.
- Review and implement Supplier Statements of Work (SSOW) to ensure compliance and quality.
- Develop cost and pricing strategies for SSOW compliance requirements.
- Evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with Quality Engineering to determine root cause of problems and implement solutions.
- Analyze process plans and develop lean-based layouts and work force planning.
- Develop and implement cost savings and quality improvement projects.
- Utilize PTC Creo to design simple tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
- Develop Statements of Work for complex capital purchases.
- Conduct vendor assessments and audits.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability review and feedback to product engineering.
- Determine accurate manufacturing costs and update manufacturing systems.
- Identify and implement cost savings and calculate return on investment.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma techniques in qualification and problem solving.
- Interface with customers and organizational bodies as manufacturing engineering representative.
Requirements:
- Completion of a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Two to three years related experience and/or training.
- Technical writing and presentation skills.
- Lean Methodologies and Six Sigma knowledge.
- Digital Factory connectivity.
- Ability to write articles for publication and present information to top management.
- Mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment: The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with a moderate noise level. The employee will be required to sit, stand, talk, hear, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and controls. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
