Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Specialist to provide exceptional investment support to our Wealth Advisors. This role will involve delivering world-class investment outcomes to clients using Cresset's best practices. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of investment principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver investment-related presentations to clients and prospects, including portfolio analysis, proposal development, and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Implement client portfolios, including modeling, monitoring, rebalancing, cash-flow management, and margin maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain investment policy statements for every discretionary portfolio.
  • Review clients' quarterly performance reports and collaborate with the Reporting team to identify and resolve issues.
  • Comply with all client, firm, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Manager Research Team to understand vehicle/manager due diligence and quarterly reviews, as well as discovery of new strategies and investment ideas.
  • Update and educate the Advisor Team on best research ideas and provide recommendations for implementation across client portfolios.
  • Cultivate a strong investment and wealth management acumen across public and private markets, portfolio construction and management, goals-based planning, and basic estate, tax, and philanthropic planning.
  • Innovate, adopt, and spread best practices and technology solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree(s) a plus.
  • CFA is a plus; candidates who have passed Level I, II, and/or III should still apply if not a CFA at this time.
  • 3+ years of experience in investment management, investment consulting, or a comparable background.
  • Coachable with the ability to work in a team environment or independently when necessary.
  • Trained on industry basics of asset allocation and investments.
  • Continuous learner, proactive, and self-motivated to expand knowledge base.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and engaged listening.
  • Excellent time management skills, including multi-tasking and prioritizing responsibilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving capabilities in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrates professional maturity and sound judgment.
  • Fits into a high-performance culture with accountability and high client centricity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
