We are looking for an attorney with a strong background in insurance defense litigation and trial experience. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial, and will demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
  • Demonstrating exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures
  • Managing a busy and time-sensitive caseload independently
  • Working collaboratively with support staff to ensure efficient and effective lawsuit handling
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • An active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the New York state bar
  • 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
