Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to join our team as a trial attorney in our Jericho, NY office. As a trial attorney, you will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial, demonstrating exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures.

The selected candidate will possess outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and will be well organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage a busy and time-sensitive caseload. The position is classified as a hybrid role, requiring both in-office and virtual work arrangements.

Responsibilities

As a trial attorney, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
  • Demonstrating exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures
  • Developing and implementing effective litigation strategies
  • Conducting research and analyzing complex legal issues
  • Preparing and presenting written and oral arguments
  • Managing and coordinating with support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • An active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the New York state bar
  • 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $125,625.00-$160,000.00, with potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including tuition reimbursement, professional designations, employee development, wellness initiatives, and more.
