Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Personal Care Attendant to join our team at HIGH DESERT PACE. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the daily living and safety needs of our participants are met with care and dignity.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services to participants, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Assist participants with activities of daily living, such as feeding, ambulation, and other activities, as needed.
  • Respond to participant requests and obtain assistance as necessary.
  • Perform and assist with non-sterile procedures and other assigned tasks in support of participant care.
  • Ensure participant comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.
  • Collect and record participant care information on appropriate forms.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines for participant care.
  • Provide participant instruction on safety factors and demonstrate appropriate health and safety practices.
  • Clean and maintain participant surroundings to ensure a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Contribute to the continuity of participant care through active participation and communication with the care team.
Requirements
  • Comparable participant care experience, including skills such as TPR, BP, bed bath, and ADL.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read, write, and understand verbal or written instructions.
  • 1 year of experience providing care or services for a frail or elderly population.
  • Completion of food handler training and certification upon hire or within 30 days of employment.
  • CPR certification upon hire required.
Working Conditions

The working conditions and physical demands of this role require the ability to work a required schedule, with occasional travel between sites, nursing/group homes, and to members' homes. A valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance coverage are also required.
