Position Overview

RK Automotive INC is seeking a highly skilled Master Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves diagnosing and executing vehicle repair and maintenance tasks in alignment with dealership and manufacturer standards. The ideal candidate will work independently, demonstrating expertise across a variety of assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute tasks as specified on the Repair Order with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the Parts Department to secure necessary components, and inform the Service Manager of any vehicle delays due to parts availability.
  • Label and store parts for warranty jobs or upon customer request.
  • Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs, and relay this information to the Service Advisor.
  • Diagnose issues causing malfunctions and carry out repairs as authorized by the customer.
  • Document all work performed on each vehicle in the repair order, using a clear format to outline concerns, causes, and corrections.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles to ensure quality of work performed.
  • Continuously monitor vehicle status and communicate any necessary updates to the Service Manager.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of customer vehicles during service.
  • Utilize special tools and equipment provided by the Service Department effectively.
  • Keep an inventory of personal tools not typically tracked by the Service Department.
  • Organize and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship that reflects pride in your craft.
  • Review technical bulletins and publications as assigned.
  • Engage in technical training as required by management and industry standards.
  • Attend training sessions as directed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASE certification is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with dealership computer systems, particularly Reynolds and/or CDK software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with dealership staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be insurable and a team-oriented individual.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts.
