Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled Superintendent to oversee our operations.

In this role, you will manage the processes of new home construction at the subdivision level in accordance with the Company's standards and protocols.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring quality and customer satisfaction throughout the construction phase while supervising subcontractors, Assistant Superintendents, and Laborers, all while upholding job-site safety and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction and timely completion of high-quality homes in alignment with the standards set by the Company and the Project Manager.
  • Maintain inventory in a condition that is appealing to prospective buyers and meets the Company's acceptable standards.
  • Coordinate and schedule all construction-related activities for one or multiple residential projects.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to Assistant Superintendents, Laborers, and subcontractors. Provide management, training, and direction to Assistant Superintendents and Laborers as needed.
  • Manage and control all direct and indirect construction costs for the subdivision.
  • Implement the Company's policies, procedures, and required documentation.
  • Educate subcontractors on Company policies and procedures, including safety and OSHA compliance.
  • Ensure the job site is safeguarded from hazardous conditions and materials (per SWPPP) and ADEQ regulations.
  • Engage with local authorities to secure all necessary inspections that comply with master plan approvals.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of Certificates of Occupancy within the local jurisdiction.
  • Oversee the completion of homeowner orientations, expedite the resolution of homeowner orientation letter items, and address orientation repair items within the time frames established by the Project Manager and Company.
Requirements

Education:
High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.

A minimum of five years of prior experience in residential or commercial construction is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of one or more building trades (e.g., electrical, carpentry, plumbing) combined with a strong ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential. A solid understanding of the technical aspects of construction is required. Excellent organizational skills, along with strong interpersonal and communication abilities, are necessary. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines is crucial.
