EDI Specialist Job Description

At Albanese Candy, we are seeking an experienced EDI Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting EDI at our company, ensuring seamless data exchange with our trading partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and design EDI specifications for new customer and vendor setups, enhancements, and modifications within our EDI application environments.
  • Collaborate with the business and IT teams to define EDI transactions and business flows, creating mappings and scripts within our integration partner and ERP solution.
  • Develop and implement the EDI onboarding and offboarding process, training the business and IT teams on its use.
  • Reduce backlog queues through assessment and delivery of EDI enhancement requests, including new EDI transactions and modifications to existing set-ups.
  • Troubleshoot EDI process failures within our environment, documenting and testing EDI teams.
  • Lead the full project lifecycle using Smartsheets, documenting IQ, DQ, OQ, and PQ.
  • Act as the SME for all Computer System Validations, ensuring compliance with company Quality, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety Standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of prior EDI Specialist experience or Document Specialist experience.
  • Experience working with EDI integrators required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including effective communication with business users and software developers.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Framework and business rules management system is a plus.
  • Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
Education:

Associate degree in a related field preferred, with a high school degree as a minimum requirement.
