About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Group Therapist to join our Social Services Inpatient Team at Fairfax Behavioral Health. As a Group Therapist, you will play a vital role in creating treatment plans for patients and implementing the behavioral aspects of the treatment plan.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize group therapy interventions to provide treatment for patients, teaching skills, providing psychoeducation, and allowing for processing via evidenced-based practices.
- Tailor the curriculum to work 1:1 with patients when needed.
- Facilitate treatment team meetings to ensure all treatment plans are appropriately documented.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings as an integral professional, clinical member.
- Conduct therapeutic, collaborative meetings with patients on their treatment plans.
- Document in the medical record.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental/behavioral health field is required.
- An unrestricted independent clinical license from the WA DOH (LICSW, LMHCA, or LMFT) is also required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience facilitating groups in a hospital or psychiatric setting is necessary.
