We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead our solar systems design team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the design and development of electrical infrastructure for industrial-to-utility scale PV and hybrid projects
- Manage and coordinate electrical engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of projects within budget
- Collaborate with other project disciplines, including civil engineers, geotechnical/structural engineers, and surveyors
- Develop and maintain proprietary electrical engineering tools and standards
- Support leadership in organizational staffing needs and process improvement initiatives
- 4-year Engineering Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field
- Electrical PE License or ability to be licensed in multiple states
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in PV solar, electrical distribution, generation, and/or general electrical construction
- Proven track record of leading discipline-specific design work as part of a broader multi-discipline project
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, Alternative Energy Engineering, or similar program
- NABCEP Certification
- Experience with energy storage systems, SCADA systems, and PV production modeling software
- Proficiency with ETAP, DiGSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, SKM, and/or CYME to model electrical power systems
