Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer PE at Sutton Engineering, LLC, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for diverse markets, including mission critical, communications, commercial, and government sectors. You will perform site surveys, field verification, and documentation of existing systems, and coordinate with other departments and disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design electrical systems for diverse markets, including mission critical, communications, commercial, and government sectors.
  2. Perform site surveys, field verification, and documentation of existing systems.
  3. Coordinate with other departments and disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Utilize CAD/REVIT to document design as needed.
  5. Communicate and coordinate drawing development with Production Department.
  6. Communicate with equipment vendors for selecting equipment.
  7. Coordinate development of drawings with designers, production department, and other engineers.
  8. Document project specifications.
  9. Develop design concepts.
  10. Identify roadblocks during design and communicate with Project Manager, Engineer of Record, and Director of Engineering.
  11. Responsible for assisting during construction administration phase:
  • Review submittals, RFIs, change orders.
  • Perform site visits.
  • Document and publish observation reports and punch list items.

Skills:

  1. A demonstrated aptitude for managing project workloads.
  2. Expert in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam.
  3. Ability to work independently throughout design process.
  4. Expert in equipment selection software.
  5. Expert of industry-standard and local codes.
  6. Proficient in MEANS for construction cost estimates.
  7. Ability to optimize design to meet energy standards, customer expectations, and customer budget.
