Job Summary

We are seeking a Housing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work with clients from our emergency and transitional programs, conducting outreach in the community to build relationships with landlords and clients, and developing and executing housing stability plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local housing market, fair housing laws, and landlord-tenant rights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct outreach in the community to build relationships with landlords and clients
  • Develop and execute housing stability plans
  • Facilitate educational workshops and provide landlord-tenant mediation
  • Assess time-limited subsidies and housing problem-solving strategies
  • Link clients to employment and community resources
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree preferred or related experience
  • Professional experience in property management is strongly desired
  • Knowledge of local housing markets, subsidized housing programs, and fair housing laws
  • Demonstrated ability working with individuals and families from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills
