Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gross Pathology Technician to join our team at Temple Health. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for verifying specimen identity and performing full gross examinations of surgical specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify specimen identity and perform full gross examinations of surgical specimens
  • Perform data entry of specimens and maintain supplies and instruments within the department
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and efficient specimen processing
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Life Sciences from an accredited institution
  • At least 60 credits of coursework, including 24 credits of medical technology courses or 6 credits in chemistry, 6 credits in biology, and 12 additional credits in a combination of chemistry, biology, or medical lab technology
  • 1 year of experience in histology (preferred)
  • ASCP certification (preferred)
