Mixologist

Position Overview:

Deliver prompt, precise, and welcoming service while crafting top-notch beverages for our patrons. Share the culinary philosophy of Twelvemonth, emphasizing our commitment to vegetable-forward innovation and sustainability. The primary goal of each bartender is to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience that encourages repeat visits.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Warmly welcome and greet guests, ensuring they feel at ease while informing them about beverage and dining selections. Educate first-time visitors about our sustainable and creative approach.
• Present drink menus, provide recommendations, and address inquiries regarding food and beverages.
  • Maintain extensive menu knowledge to respond to detailed questions about allergens and product origins.
• Notify guests of specials and updates to the menu.
• Offer genuine recommendations based on guest preferences, acting as an 'Ambassador' for Twelvemonth.
• Take beverage and food orders from guests and input them into our point-of-sale system.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Twelvemonth's established recipes.
• Learn and recognize the names of our regular customers.
• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in bar areas.
• Process guest payments, including credit card transactions and providing change when necessary.
• Wash and sanitize glassware.
• Prepare batch recipes in line with Twelvemonth's standards.
• Prepare garnishes for drinks.
• Check the freshness of juices daily.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all batches, syrups, and shrubs.
• Organize bottles and glasses attractively to facilitate efficient drink preparation and promote beverage offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness in all bar areas, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage spaces.
• Serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
• Report any equipment malfunctions and maintenance issues to the management team.
• Assist in restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.
• Communicate with management regarding breaks, vacation, and scheduling needs.
• Contribute positively to the work environment.
• Be available to assist as needed to ensure the smooth operation of Twelvemonth as directed by management or supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Availability for Sunday shifts.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• Working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and common drink recipes.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate the point-of-sale system.
• Capability to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Experience in crafting cocktails is a significant advantage.
