Job Summary

As a Clinic Care Coordinator at Samaritan Health Services, you will serve as an advocate, educator, and coordinator of services for at-risk patients. Your role will involve working with a diverse population, from pediatrics to geriatrics, and providing exceptional care and support.

Department Description

Our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery department is dedicated to providing the highest quality service and personal care. Our services include breast surgery, body contouring, and facial surgery. As a Clinic Care Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with board-certified plastic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Advocate for patients' needs and provide education on healthcare services and procedures.
  • Coordinate services and care plans for at-risk patients, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure optimal care outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain the highest standards of care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) of the following required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Associate degree or successful completion of a technical program, plus a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant and two (2) years' experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Three (3) years experience in a healthcare setting and two (2) years professional customer service experience.
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within 90 days of hire.
  • Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Experience in outpatient, ambulatory care, and/or community healthcare preferred.

  • Patient Care - Possess the skills and knowledge needed to assist and care for others.
  • Adaptability/Flexibility - Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high-risk or diverse patient populations.
  • Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues.
  • Team Building - Ability to work, function, and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Medical Terminology - Knowledge of medical records, procedures, and terminology.
  • Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse population and possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others.
