Mental Health Crisis Emergency Worker

Northeast Counseling Services is a leading provider of mental health crisis services in central and southern Luzerne County. We are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team as Mental Health Crisis Emergency Workers.

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Crisis Emergency Worker provides in-person and telephone assessments and interventions for adults, children, and adolescents experiencing psychiatric emergencies. This is a full-time position that requires a Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field or Registered Nurse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address client needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field or Registered Nurse
  • Working knowledge of community mental health services and related human services delivery
  • Proficient in writing and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques

  • $3000 sign-on bonus, with 50% granted at 6 months of employment and the remainder granted at 1 year of employment

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position that requires working in-person. The work schedule is day shift.
