About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Pipeline Technician to join our team at Berkshire Hathaway Energy. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pipeline facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on operational equipment at assigned facilities.
  • Recognize and respond to abnormal operating conditions.
  • Support emergency response efforts.
  • Locate pipelines and oversee third-party excavation and line crossings.
  • Install and inspect pipeline markers.
  • Operate work equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and specialized instruments.
Requirements
  • An Associate of Applied Science degree in a technical specialization, such as aviation maintenance, diesel, natural gas, compression, instrumentation, controls, electrical, electro-mechanical, or corrosion.
  • Typically four to six years of related, progressive work experience.
  • Successful completion of Pipeline Technician Academy and/or achievement of at least one skill-block.
  • A valid driver's license.
