Exercise Physiologist

Job Summary:

Montefiore Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. As an Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and supervising cardiac rehabilitation and education programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessing, improving, and maintaining patients' fitness and health.
• Coordinate exercise training programs and related teaching and research projects undertaken by the department.
• Embody the team concept of the department and the customer service approach to patient care.
• Understand and adapt to variable schedules, rotations, and/or weekend work.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Required within one year of date of hire: CCRP - Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR - American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation).
• Preferred: ACSM-RCEP - American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
• Preferred: 1-2 years of experience.
