Job Summary:
Montefiore Medical Center seeks a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. As an Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be accountable for developing and supervising cardiac rehabilitation and education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, improving, and maintaining patients' fitness and health.
- Coordinate exercise training programs and related teaching and research projects undertaken by the department.
- Embody the team concept of the department and the customer service approach to patient care.
- Understand and adapt to variable schedules, rotations, and/or weekend work.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology or Exercise Science.
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Required within one year of hire: CCRP - Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR - American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation).
- Preferred: ACSM-RCEP - American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist.
- Preferred: 1-2 years of experience.
