Job Summary:

The Data Science Lead will spearhead the development and implementation of machine learning models and algorithms that drive business growth and results. This role requires a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to describe complex concepts clearly and concisely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms that deliver measurable business value
  • Direct projects that combine analytical and organizational complexity towards clear, sound, and actionable decisions
  • Evaluate model performance and make recommendations for model improvements and optimizations
  • Collaborate closely with other technical teams to integrate and deploy models
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions
  • Create presentations that describe model results and recommendations to senior executives and other key stakeholders
  • Lead the technical aspects of projects, ensuring best practices, and maintaining high standards for code quality and analysis
  • Help foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging teammates to explore new approaches and technologies to solve complex data challenges
  • Oversee and evaluate the work of data scientists to ensure adherence to industry best practices
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in data science and data engineering required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Economics, or Statistics, OR data science boot camp or certification OR commensurate experience
  • Expert Python and SQL skills (Snowflake preferred)
  • Familiarity with one or more Python data science and/or statistics libraries (Pytorch, Scikit learn, Statsmodels)
  • Familiarity with one or more Python data visualization libraries (Bokeh, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
  • Advanced skills in probability and statistics
  • Experience with model implementation and monitoring
  • Excellent logical reasoning and attention to detail
  • Desire and capacity to learn about RE/MAX's business operations
  • Experience with AWS (S3, ECS, ECR, and EC2) and Docker required
  • Experience with Apache Airflow (AWS MWAA) and Apache Spark required
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Travel Requirements:
  • Up to once a quarter
Compensation:

$90,000 - $114,000

Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location. The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package. Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
