About the Opportunity
MaineHealth is seeking a full-time Hospitalist to join our team at Mid Coast Hospital, a 93-bed acute care facility with over 200 providers on active medical staff and broad subspecialty support.
The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and a passion for teaching and mentoring. As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of hospital policies and procedures.
This is a full-time position with flexibility in shifts and hours. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Compensation Package:
We estimate the salary for this position to be around $225,000 per year, based on industry standards and cost of living in the area. In addition to a competitive salary, we also offer a generous benefits package, including:

- Retirement savings plan (401(k) or equivalent)
- Paid time off (vacation, sick leave, holidays)
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- An active and unrestricted State of Maine medical license (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
- Current BCLS and ACLS certifications
