Diagnostic Imaging Physicist

Cleveland Clinic Foundation has an opening for a Diagnostic Medical Physicist. The ideal candidate will be American Board of Radiology Certified in Diagnostic Radiological and Nuclear Medicine Physics. A minimum of a M.S. degree or equivalent in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related discipline is required, along with at least 3 years of experience. Additionally, the candidate must be eligible to secure an Ohio Certified Radiation Expert certificate.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluation, integration, quality assurance, and safe use of diagnostic imaging equipment
- Education of radiology and medical physics residents
- Clinical research related to radiation dose optimization and image quality improvement
- Familiarity with diagnostic imaging instrumentation, particularly equipment used in PET, Nuclear Medicine, and Computed Tomography
- Knowledge of radiation measurement instrumentation, electronic test equipment, radiation monitors, and dosimetry equipment
- Up to 25% overnight travel may be required
