Quantitative Software Engineer Role

Job Title: Quantitative Risk Technology Specialist

Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 per year.

LABINE AND ASSOCIATES, INC. is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Risk Technology Specialist to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial technology, quantitative analysis, and software development, with a focus on risk technology and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Maintain Software Applications: Supporting risk analytics and data insights for financial portfolios.
  2. Financial Report Design and Implementation: Creating and implementing financial reports to track exposures and risk factors.
  3. Quantitative Model Development: Creating and implementing models to assess portfolio performance and provide actionable insights.
  4. Integration and Coordination: Working with third-party vendors and internal teams to integrate and coordinate the firm's technology stack.
  5. Short Interest Data Analysis: Developing tools to analyze short interest data and provide insights for portfolio managers.
  6. Programming Language Expertise: Utilizing Python, C#, and other programming languages to build, optimize, and maintain software applications.
  7. System Optimization: Enhancing the performance of critical financial systems through database optimization and workflow re-architecture.
  8. Web Service Development: Implementing and maintaining RESTful web services to handle API requests for key financial analytics.
