Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform essential Cost Accounting functions.
2. Analyze and generate reports that compare budgeted expenses to actual expenditures on a regular basis.
3. Evaluate inventory and production costs, assess profit margins, and contrast actual expenses with forecasts.
4. Establish and assess cost standards, encompassing raw material, labor, and overhead expenses.
5. Collaborate with the finance department to formulate annual budgets, conduct risk assessments on prospective investments, and provide insights on potential returns on investment.
6. Carry out ongoing analyses of process constraints and report cost trends to management to aid in strategic decision-making.
7. Utilize financial software for analysis and report preparation.
8. Ensure compliance of cost accounting practices with financial regulations and contractual obligations.
9. Work with auditors by supplying necessary information and clarifications during the auditing process.
10. Engage in month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of results.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
2. At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing context.
3. Certification as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is advantageous.
4. Proven expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, and ERP systems.
5. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
6. Excellent analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
7. Strong problem-solving capabilities and the capacity to make informed, data-driven decisions.
8. Proficiency in relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
9. Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate across all organizational levels.
10. High integrity and reliability, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
