Job Summary

The Physician Assistant role at COFMC is a dynamic position that requires a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical knowledge and be able to provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed medical physician.

Key Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care, including obtaining a thorough medical history, performing clinical exams, and arranging testing and therapy.
Documents patient encounters in a clear and concise manner, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Participates in rotational call schedules and consults with supervising physicians as needed.
Initiates patient referrals and communicates with referral clinicians or agencies.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited training program for physician assistants.
Certified by the state of Oklahoma to practice as a Physician Assistant.
Eligible for medical malpractice insurance and maintains current continuing CME requirements.
Possesses DEA and Oklahoma State Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drug (OBNDD) Control Certificate.
