Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to join our team at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. As a key member of our Sterile Processing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Sterile Processing unit, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in the processing and sterilization of medical instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Sterile Processing unit, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and case-cart management.
  • Ensure that all instruments are properly processed and sterilized, and that all quality control measures are in place.
  • Supervise and train a team of technicians to ensure they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Five years of experience in central sterile processing, manufacturing, logistics, or assembly in a healthcare environment, with at least one year of progressive responsibility.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) certifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of technicians.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
