Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer - Product Lead / Integrated Capability Team Lead

This role is responsible for leading a multi-disciplined team's efforts within Engineering, responsible for leadership, management, and oversight of the ICTs efforts across multiple contracts. The successful candidate will be empowered to make decisions of significant importance to the joint business interests and will need to work closely with leadership across AST.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Systems Engineering process and/or Software Product Development
  • Experience working in the defense industry, the Intelligence Community, or with other government agencies
  • Experience with program planning, execution and/or support (cost/budget, schedule, integration, and/or project management)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance or current SSBI
  • Experience with broadband communications including network operations, transport structures and switching equipment
  • Experience providing technical leadership to engineers throughout the entire Systems lifecycle
  • Experience managing strategic business to drive growth
