Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to fill a full-time position in a school setting. This role is a maternity leave replacement, and the ideal candidate will have a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and a valid Illinois license in Speech-Language Pathology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for students, utilizing evidence-based practices to identify communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' communication goals, incorporating a range of strategies and techniques.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, including one-on-one and small group sessions, to promote effective communication and language skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to integrate therapy goals and support student progress, ensuring a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and assessments, utilizing data-driven approaches to inform instruction and drive student outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities, staying current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Illinois license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with students in a school setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of educational environments and the needs of students with diverse communication profiles.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills, with the ability to adapt to changing student needs and circumstances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
