Speech-Language Pathologist Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to support students' communication development and help them achieve their speech and language goals in a school-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments and student needs.
  • Deliver direct therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to create a supportive learning environment for students.
  • Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed.
  • Participate in IEP meetings to develop goals and review progress with team members.
  • Provide resources and training to parents, caregivers, and staff to reinforce skills.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, CFs considered.
  • Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
