About the Role
Vail Health is seeking an experienced Senior Sterilization Specialist to lead our Sterile Processing department. This critical role requires a skilled professional who can direct day-to-day operations, prioritize tasks, and ensure that all surgical instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and properly maintained.

Responsibilities:
• Perform cleaning and sterilization techniques according to established standards of practice.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes in log books and ensure accuracy of all documentation related to SPD.
• Collaborate with staff to establish priorities for effective time and resource utilization to achieve established objectives.
• Demonstrate careful and efficient use of supplies and linen to facilitate quality care and cost efficiency.
• Encourage teamwork and cooperation between departments.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain knowledge and skills.
• Communicate effectively with customers, anticipating their needs and resolving issues quickly and efficiently.

Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in Sterile Processing, including Joint Commission requirements.
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in English language, including reading, writing, and speaking.
