Key ResponsibilitiesThe Nurse Practitioner (NP) functions as an advanced practice clinician, offering both primary and specialized healthcare services to a diverse patient population. Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the NP ensures comprehensive care, advocates for patient education, and supports overall wellness.
- In partnership with the medical director, the NP takes on clinical responsibilities within their scope of practice, including: gathering patient histories, conducting physical assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic evaluations, diagnosing conditions, and managing common illnesses and preventive care for both pediatric and adult patients.
- The NP may facilitate patient admissions, transfers, or discharges within the healthcare system.
- Refers patients to specialists and community resources as needed.
- Engages in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to create comprehensive care plans for patients and their families.
- In addition to standard responsibilities, the inpatient specialty NP will manage care for acutely ill patients, respond to emergencies, and may provide care in intensive care settings.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program for nurse practitioners.
A minimum of three years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty.
Current RN license in a compact state or Arizona, along with an Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license.
National certification as a nurse practitioner in the relevant specialty as per Arizona regulations.
Valid DEA registration.
Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
Compensation$86.79 per hour
