Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in chemical production plant support in the functions of central maintenance, utilities supply, treatment of incoming water, pretreatment of waste waters, and engineering stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs, procedures, and practices to encourage employees to work safely and responsibly.
  • Participate in safety, health, and environmental continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee annual plant and boiler shutdown activities.
  • Provide technical support for maintenance functions for central maintenance.
  • Manage the Avient Reliability Program.
  • Provide advisory support to the plant-engineering group.
  • Maintain plant engineering standards and compliance.
  • Drive cultural changes necessary for the organization.
  • Resolve personnel conflicts and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop systems and tools to improve understanding of maintenance costs and utility measures.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the utilities systems for the site.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Manage engineering stores functions to support plant needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Cross-functional experience in budget management, leadership, and cost management.
  • Manufacturing experience in mechanical, pneumatics, and maintenance management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions

The employee will work in a manufacturing plant environment with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. The employee will be required to wear safety equipment and follow safety protocols.
