PeaceHealth is seeking an experienced Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Ketchikan, Alaska. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the growth and development of our practice.
Responsibilities- Provide advanced level of nursing evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing, and monitoring medications and follow-up care for patients.
- Responsible for patient and family teaching.
- Effectively identifies, evaluates, and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice while administering quality patient care.
- Works in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allows for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
- Certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner with an interest in rural medicine.
- Post-training experience in a primary care setting preferred.
- Ability to work well as part of a 7-member primary care team.
- Guaranteed first-year income, based on a 1.0 FTE and years of direct experience.
- Employment Bonus.
- Relocation stipend based on miles between locations.
- Education Loan Reimbursement program (if applicable and eligible).
- CME: up to $3,800 per calendar year for CME and/or professional dues/fees (based on 1.0 FTE; prorated for lower FTE).

PeaceHealth has been serving the communities of Southeast Alaska since 1923 with Ketchikan Medical Center, a 25-bed critical-access hospital offering comprehensive trauma care, outpatient and home health services, and a 29-bed long-term care facility. Primary and specialty medical care is provided by PeaceHealth Medical Group Ketchikan and Prince of Wales Island.
Our Trauma IV emergency department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffed by physicians who are independent contractors employed by National Emergency Services (NES).
