We are seeking an experienced Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center. As a critical access facility, we provide comprehensive trauma care, outpatient, and home health services to the community.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in rural medicine and be able to work well as part of a 7-member primary care team. They will be responsible for providing full-scope Family Medicine care, including routine check-ups, chronic disease management, and acute care.

Responsibilities:- Provide advanced level of nursing evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing, and monitoring medications and follow-up care for patients.
- Effectively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues of the population in the practice.
- Work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allows for consultation, collaboration, or referral.
- Maintain legible, accurate, and confidential medical records.
- Certified Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner with an interest in rural medicine.
- Post-training experience in a primary care setting preferred.
- Ability to work well as part of a 7-member primary care team.
- Full-scope Family Medicine (no OB) experience.
- Wound care experience required.
- Oregon West Network – Wound and Ostomy: CWCN (Wound Care Certification) within 6 months of hire and COCN (Ostomy Care Certification) within 18 months of hire.
- Palliative Care: Supporting management of pain and other symptoms, assesses the impact of functional status on quality of life.
