Job Title: High School Science Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated High School Science Teacher to join our team. As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional instruction and assessing student growth. You will work closely with content and grade-level teams to promote an environment of critical thinking and academic rigor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement year-long Texas State standards-based unit plans and lesson plans that meet all students' learning needs.
  • Use assessment data to modify short and long-term plans to promote all students' academic performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to establish and maintain working relationships with students and families based on trust and respect.
  • Participate in daily school functions, such as morning, lunch, and afternoon supervisory duties.
  • Attend critical school events, including staff meetings, open houses, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Develop individualized learning plans for students and communicate these plans to families in parent meetings and conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core subject area assigned.
  • Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for level and/or subject area of assignment, if applicable.
  • Must be considered highly-qualified based on NCLB guidelines, if applicable.
  • Satisfactory outcome of a background check.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Teacher Career Pathway (TCP) at KIPP Texas celebrates individual teacher impact with students, peers, and the school community, and rewards this impact with up to $15,000 in additional annual compensation.

KIPP Texas Public Schools is a TEA Teacher Incentive Allotment approved district. Eligible and qualifying teachers can earn up to an additional $32,000 a year.
