Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Mathematics Educator at ICEF Public Schools, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching Methods: Employ a wide range of teaching methods to create opportunities for deep understanding and differentiated instruction for all levels of ability within a class, including serving students identified with special needs.
- Learning Environment: Create and maintain a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment, with a coherent plan for classroom discipline and clear documentation of all interventions taken to correct student behavior.
- Performance and Grading: Aspire to effective performance in all areas of the ICEF core values, principles, and instructional strategies, as described in the ICEF Teacher Effectiveness Framework.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with Special Education Team and ELL Support Staff to ensure that students with additional needs are able to access the curriculum, and attend and participate in monthly Parent Engagement Meetings, Back-to-School Nights, Parent Conferences, and office hours/tutoring as communicated by the administration.
- Curriculum: Create a powerfully engaging curriculum designed to move students toward meeting the proficient performance of the high priority standards identified in ICEF Instructional Guides and California Common Core Standards.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred.
- Certification: Possession of a valid Commission on Teacher Credentialing certificate, permit, or other document required for the teachers certificated assignment.
- Desirable Qualifications: Possession of either a Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language or Academic Development (BCLAD) certificate; a Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certificate; a Bilingual Certificate of Competence (BCC); or a Language Development Specialist (LDS) certificate is desirable; EL Authorization.
