Role Summary: As an Electrical Engineer, your primary duties will involve the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of electrical systems and designs. You will take charge of refining and formalizing our Arc Flash program requirements and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze data/information while performing engineering calculations.
  • Produce high-quality, consistent, complete, and accurate drawings.
  • Create technical specifications and data sheets.
  • Support fieldwork, verify installations, and engage in problem-solving activities.
  • Conduct calculation checks and review vendor drawings.
  • Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to gather essential information.
  • Possess knowledge in designing electrical systems, including lighting, power, life safety, security, and communication systems for commercial infrastructures.
  • Coordinate with project staff regarding resource availability.
  • Facilitate coordination among all architectural and engineering disciplines on a project.
  • Ensure project timelines are met and stay within budget constraints.
  • Assist in preparing project reports for management and clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve issues in collaboration with project personnel.
  • Coordinate project activities with relevant governmental regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee construction administration, review shop drawings, and respond to requests for information.
  • Enhance the company's engineering capabilities by nurturing and expanding client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET-accredited institution.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Photometric and SKM Power Tools Software is essential.
  • Experience with Arc Flash or other Power Systems Studies is required.
  • Revit proficiency is necessary.
  • Ability to work remotely with occasional travel to K2M's NW Arkansas office.
