Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our plant operations in western Minneapolis, Minnesota. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating overall plant operations, ensuring production goals are met, and driving continuous improvement through 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and coordinates overall plant operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures production goals are met on a consistent basis by tracking output and efficiencies using KPI's.
  • Drives continuous improvement through 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing programs.
  • Oversees specifications of product manufactured/assembled.
  • Oversees and continually improves our safety program to ensure a safe environment for team members.
  • Manage materials and supplies to ensure production and operational metrics can be met.
  • Oversee all incoming and outgoing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Works cross-functionally to ensure coordination of purchasing, shipping, receiving, and other departments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, Tier II, Fire, etc. and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
  • Responsible for producing high quality product the first time and at the source.
  • Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree; Associates Degree with combination of industry experience will also be considered.
  • 5-7 years of significant manufacturing experience, including progressive management and supervisory responsibility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in pump systems, fabricating processes, welding, 12V electrical systems, vehicle upfitting, and/or heavy truck related manufacturing.
  • Certification or training in Lean Six Sigma; Green Belt or higher strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in leading and growing teams.
  • Advanced interpersonal and management skills.
