About the Role

As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting guests and facilitating their experience with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Communicating guest concerns to the manager as needed
  • Managing competing demands with patience and poise
  • Ensuring guests are acknowledged when leaving the establishment
  • Answering phones in a timely and professional manner
  • Organizing reservations and prioritizing them to accommodate guests
  • Managing the wait list and preparing seating assignments prior to service
  • Assisting fellow team members as needed
  • Upholding the company's processes and procedures
  • Organizing and maintaining the front area, including stocking and cleaning
  • Greeting guests, escorting them to their table, and presenting menus
  • Taking reservations via phone, in-person, or Tock
  • Communicating customer requests and special occasions to the server and/or manager
  • Conducting walk-throughs to ensure the dining rooms, entryway, and bathrooms are clean and well-maintained
  • Performing opening and closing duties as needed

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • An outgoing and engaging personality
  • The ability to identify and complete work needs proactively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • The ability to follow directions and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
