Hotel Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of hotel equipment and facilities. This includes performing routine preventive maintenance, repairing or replacing defective equipment parts, and inspecting drives, motors, and belts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure hotel equipment continues to run smoothly and efficiently.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions.
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Assemble, install, and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Follow proper key control procedure for issued keys.
- Follow emergency procedures, Safety Data Sheet (SDS), JSA's, IIPP, use PPE and safety precautions using the safest work habits.
- Carry out any reasonable request by Management and Management Company.
- Record maintenance and repair work performed (in line with Company procedures) and the costs of the work.
- Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service and experience.
- Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problems.
- Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction.
- Be in proper uniform, name badge, and follow appearance guidelines.
- Remains aware of any and all potential security problems and reports them to supervisor/manager.
- Reports any suspicious or unusual situations encountered while performing duties to supervisor/manager.
Requirements:

- Able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of the company.
- Be knowledgeable about your property's layout, facilities, and services so that you can answer questions from guests.
- Knows emergency procedures, safety precautions, and safest work habits.
- Able to clearly communicate to Associates, guests, vendors, Corporate Executives.
- The hotel functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an associate from their preferred shift as business demands.
