Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Paraprofessional to join our team at Granite State Independent Living. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in providing work-readiness education to students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes student success and independence.
  • Assist with the delivery of curriculum and provide individualized support to students as needed.
  • Collaborate with instructors to ensure seamless implementation of training room expectations and Google Classroom platform.
  • Support students in identifying and utilizing community resources to enhance their independent living skills.
  • Participate in education staff team meetings and contribute to the development of training room expectations.
  • Assist with worksite check-ins and provide support to education staff as needed.
  • Drive a 13-passenger van as required.
  • Support students in the afternoon learning lab and provide individualized support as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required.
  • Knowledge and/or personal or professional experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of special education law, accommodations, and modifications as related to IEPs and 504s preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Gmail.
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various templates.
Physical and Mental Demands

This position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas and to comprehend and present detailed and critical information. Exceptional judgment and creativity are regularly required to evaluate results and make decisions. Reasonable accommodations will be made available to assist persons with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
