Role Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager plays a crucial role in directing safety, health, and environmental initiatives at the facility, aiming to reduce workplace injuries, health issues, and financial impacts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Environmental, Safety, and Industrial Hygiene Programs to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance to management and supervisors on strategies for accident prevention and risk management.
- Manage the Workers Compensation program in partnership with Human Resources.
- Organize training sessions on safety protocols, ergonomics, accident prevention, and first aid procedures.
- Assess and recommend improvements on facility layouts, equipment, and infrastructure to mitigate hazards.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Familiarity with environmental management systems and OSHA regulations at both federal and state levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate independently.

Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or Occupational Safety and Health is preferred.
- Certification in hazardous material management, 40-hour HAZWOPER, and environmental auditing is desirable.

Special Conditions:
Candidates may be required to undergo a Government security clearance process and must meet the eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
