Machinery and Equipment Valuation Specialist

General Purpose:

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinery and Equipment Valuation Specialist to perform field inspections, conduct cost and market research, develop and utilize asset valuation models, and create presentations and reports for submission to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have assignments appraising commercial and industrial assets in a wide variety of businesses, working with facility management, engineers, and accounting staff in various commercial, manufacturing or other industrial environments.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform well-documented valuation analyses and reports for privately-held and public corporations spanning numerous industries.
  • Site inspections/data collection at client locations (30% to 50% travel); office analysis; report preparation and documentation.
  • Valuation and litigation purposes include financial, tax, and regulatory requirements, allocation of purchase price, financing, insurance reporting needs, goodwill and long-lived asset impairment, property tax consulting, and various other purposes.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Proficient computer skills (primarily Excel and Word).
  • Relationship-focused (with clients, peers, management, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • G.P.A. of 3.0 cumulative required.
  • Ability to travel to client locations 30-50% of the time.

The range for this role considers several factors including but not limited to prior work and industry experience, education level, and unique skills.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000.00 to $130,000.00 Annual. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan. Information about benefits can be found here -
