Per Diem Surgical PA Opportunity at Nuvance Health

Nuvance Health is seeking a board-certified per diem Physician Assistant to join its team at Northern Dutchess Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Responsibilities- OR First Assisting: Provide first assist in the OR for specialties including general, plastic, spine, bariatric, and OB/GYN cases.
- Rounding: Round on general surgery patients daily as part of a team-based approach with attendings, residents, and students.
- Consults/Admissions: Cover admissions and consults for general surgeons.
- Call Coverage: Provide on-call from home coverage, including first assisting emergent OR cases, admissions, and consults for general surgery.
- Floor Procedures: Perform floor procedures such as NG tube insertion and removal, wound vac and dressings changes, and bedside I&D.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and NCCPA certified.
- Strong surgical and patient management experience, with at least one to three years of surgical experience preferred.
