Role Purpose:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing patient care tailored to the specific needs of the assigned unit's patient demographic. This role ensures that care is delivered efficiently and safely, adhering to established standards while remaining adaptable to evolving healthcare environments. The nurse is expected to demonstrate excellence in both work habits and clinical practice.
Key Qualifications:
Education:
Must possess a nursing diploma or be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. A valid NYS RN License is required.
Experience:
Previous experience in Medical/Surgical or Intensive Care settings is preferred. Certification in Critical Care (CCRN) is also desirable.
Certifications:
Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory. Completion of a Critical Care course is preferred.
Work Environment:
This position is categorized as Per Diem, with a standard work schedule of 12 hours. The role is primarily day shifts.
Departmental Information:
The nurse will be part of the ICU/CCU department, contributing to the critical care team.
