About the Job:
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Center (IRC) is a multidisciplinary distinct-part facility located in the 2 West unit of the hospital. It serves referrals from outside and within Asante facilities. Comprised of 15 beds, the unit includes space for therapy (gym, kitchen, and so forth) and a dining room. The predominant diagnoses are stroke (37%), spinal cord (16%), LE amputation (7%) and multi-trauma (7%). It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at Asante. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. With experience and/or strong interest in rehabilitation of neurological conditions, as well as other impairment groups common in IRC environments required, you will be able to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of individualized treatment plans. You will be part of a positive team-oriented environment and practice your skills in a supportive, development-oriented workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Experience and/or strong interest in rehabilitation of neurological conditions, as well as the other impairment groups common in IRC environments required
* Previous rehab experience preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
* RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
* BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
