About the Team

Rheinmetall's Electronic Solutions Technology Enabled Learning (TEL) team is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality training solutions. As an Instructional Designer, you will be part of this team, collaborating with experienced designers, multimedia programmers, and graphic artists.

Job Description

The Instructional Designer plays a crucial role in planning and developing learning packages, including courseware, digital training aids, and integration into learning management systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing instructional materials that meet learning needs;
  • Creating instructor-led and self-paced courseware, including trainer and trainee handouts;
  • Designing online learning materials through all phases of development to delivery;
  • Analyzing requirements;
  • Integrating courseware and digital training aids into relevant Learning Management Systems;
  • Developing and integrating assessments and course evaluations;
  • Collaborating on visual and interactive training aids;
  • Providing technical support and assistance to the training team; and
  • Maintaining confidentiality.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A Diploma of Training Design and Development and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
  • At least 5 years of experience in instructional design;
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate;
  • Familiarity with learning technology and associated tools, including Knowledge Worker and Sumatra;
  • Experience with Moodle-based Training Management Systems;
  • Understanding of technical documentation;
  • Ability to manage training content aligned with specific learning outcomes;
  • Willingness to travel for work-related purposes; and
  • Australian citizenship, enabling eligibility for an Australian Government Security Clearance.
