Bluehouse Fish Transfer Specialist

Atlantic Sapphire USA is seeking a skilled Bluehouse Fish Transfer Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our aquaculture team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transfer of fish throughout our Bluehouse systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transfer fish between systems, ensuring the health and well-being of the fish
• Follow established best practices for fish and water transfer, including line flushing, setup preparation, and mobilization
• Complete daily system checklists and monitor system operation and fish behavior
• Maintain strict biosecurity protocols and operate, adjust system conditions with system managers
• Collect, classify, and remove mortality during emergency harvests and collect and maintain accurate records
• Interface with computers and apps, and assist in fish growth sampling
• Maintain a clean workspace before, during, and after transfers, and use, follow, and improve checklists in Sweet Process
• Troubleshoot, repair, or replace mechanical equipment, and maintain cleanliness of sensors
• Safely handle live fish and perform daily tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Background in aquaculture, recirculating aquaculture systems, fisheries, or fish handling preferred
• Experience with mechanical or pipeline work desired, and knowledge and use of hand tools, power tools, and related safety considerations preferred
• HVAC experience or certification a plus

Work Environment:

This job operates in a combined office and farm/production and construction environment, requiring long periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs, and ability to withstand hot, cold, and humid environments.
