Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Day Kimball Healthcare. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed radionuclides for diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine exams such as cardiac SPECT and other invasive procedures relating to the field, including IV insertion.
  • Prepare radioactive tracer compounds for patient use.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in appropriate dosages, practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients, staff, and self.
  • Explain procedures to patients, instruct, and assist patients in assuming physical positions for each exam.
  • Follow NRC guidelines for documentation, safety, and approved protocols, setting, adjusting, manipulating, controlling, and maintaining complex electronic nuclear medicine equipment for disease diagnosis.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine training program approved by the Council on Education of the American Medical Association.
  • Certified or Registered in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRTN or CNMT.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 1-year practical experience performing related duties in the field of Nuclear Medicine, including IV insertion.
