Banquet Captain Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Endicott College. Located approximately 20 miles north of Boston, our campus offers a unique blend of academic and recreational opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure seamless event execution by setting up rooms and delivering exceptional service according to guest expectations and banquet event orders.
  • Conduct pre-function meetings with staff to review event details and inspect function areas for cleanliness and proper layout.
  • Supervise and train servers and set up staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and complaints.
  • Assist the Banquet Director with inventory management and equipment preparation.
  • Ensure all banquet equipment is in good working condition and properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Act as Manager on Duty during events.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver trays of food and beverages weighing up to 20-25 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
